Are refacing and refinishing the same thing?

Accepted Answer

Refacing and refinishing are completely different kitchen remodelling processes. When refacing, an installer removes the doors and drawers, laminates the existing cabinet boxes in the new colour, style & material and then replaces the doors & drawers with all-new. Refinishing requires sanding the existing cabinets, doors & drawers, then reinstalling all the existing kitchen components.

Don’t worry, we take care of this! Every effort is made to sort, recycle, donate and dispose of all old doors, hinges and handles properly.
